PROPHETS - ISAIAH - DAY ONE
Hello and welcome to our weekly devos following our Prophets series! These devo’s are Monday through Friday and pair with this past week’s message. Be sure to journal your thoughts, vocalize your prayers, and find God in all moments of your life this week.
THEME SCRIPTURE:
“But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. The wild animals in the fields will thank me, the jackals and owls, too, for giving them water in the desert. Yes, I will make rivers in the dry wasteland so my chosen people can be refreshed.”
Isaiah 43:18-20 NLT
TODAY’S PASSAGE:
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6 ESV
REFLECTION:
God is faithful to complete the good work He has started in you. He knows the plan that He has for you.He is faithful to get you to the destination of your journey. The key to this is you have to let Him be the driver. Who is in the driver’s seat of your life? Is it you or is it God? Have you ever been in a car with someone who thinks they know how to get somewhere but doesn’t want to pull up Google Maps? They end up having to turn around because they missed the turn and it takes you so much longer to get there than it was supposed to. When we try to take control of our own life and “drive” instead of giving the control over to God we often make life harder for us than it needs to be.
In order to get to the new place, the new thing God has for us we have to let the Lord lead us there. What He begins, He finishes. He knows the destination. Allow Him to lead you and guide you today.
THOUGHTS TO PONDER:
Who is in the Drivers Seat of your life right now? Are you allowing God to lead you? What is one area of your life you can surrender over to God and allow Him to lead so He can do something new?
