We Believe

+ The Bible

We believe the scriptures, both the Old and New Testament, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man. We believe the Word of God is true, sufficient, and gives us instruction to live a life of both faith and conduct.

+ God

We believe the one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed himself as three persons: the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit (also known as the Trinity).

+ Jesus

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, and as the son of God was entirely human and entirely divine. We believe in his virgin birth (Matthew 1:23), his sinless life (Hebrews 7:26), his miracles (Acts 2:22), the sacrifice he made on the cross for the atonement of our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3), his bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6), and his coming physical return for those who love him (Revelation 19:11-14).

+ The Fall

We believe Man was created good as in the “likeness” of God, however, voluntary fell to sin and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.

+ Salvation

We believe that Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God, and that anyone who accepts Jesus’ offer of forgiveness from our sins will be saved.

+ Sanctification

We believe sanctification initially occurs at the point of salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy in God’s sight, but is also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.

+ Baptism and Communion

We believe in the practice of the church ordinances: Water Baptism and Holy Communion.

Water baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation as a public proclamation of one’s faith.

Holy communion, instructed by Jesus in the Last Supper with his disciples, as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.

+ Holy Spirit

We believe all Christ followers are invited to receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit when they experience salvation from their sins. The Holy Spirit helps us to resist sin, encourages us, gives us boldness for witnessing, and a the power to live a life for Christ. All Christians should seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit just as believers were filled in the New Testament times.

+ Healing

Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. We believe that God still divinely heals those who are sick according to His purpose and plan, and that we should ask for healing and simultaneously trust God’s sovereign plan.

+ The Church

We believe the Church is the “body” of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption through the sacrificial death of His Son, Jesus Christ. We believe the Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin, building a body of Christ-followers being perfected in the image of His Son, and meeting human need with ministries of love and compassion.

+ Praise and Worship

We believe in worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth through all of the means described to us in the Bible. We worship God by showing our love with expressive demonstration of thanksgiving, creativity, joy, and praise.

+ For Everyone

We believe the gift of salvation is not respective to race, ethnicity, demographic, socio-economic status, age, gender, or any other human attempt to organize the human experience. We believe the message of Christ is for everyone.
