Scripture - John 16

Observation - Jesus prepares his followers then, and us as his followers now, so that we understood that rough times were ahead- persecution would and will happen. BUT he said, “But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Application - Sometimes we assume that as believers life will be smooth sailing. But here in John 16, we’re reminded that challenging times will happen too. What area of your life do you need to cling to Christ’s promise to TAKE HEART because HE HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD?

Prayer - God, I choose to trust you- that you have overcome the world. Will you give me the courage and strength to TRUST in you, to TAKE HEART? In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
