LOVE ISLAND - WEEK ONE - DAY FIVE

Ephesians 5:25-28 NLT - “For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.”

TODAY’S PASSAGE:

He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. (Psalm 103:12 - NLT)

I have SWEPT AWAY your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. (Isaiah 44:22 NIV)

REFLECTION:

Forgiveness is a constant act, it’s continual and frequent. I hope this past week has encouraged you to dig deeper in your heart to uncover some things or people that might need forgiveness. As you read and meditate on today's passage, I hope you feel the weight of the sin lift off your shoulder and you start those first steps to forgiveness. Remember that our God will not hold grudges but he holds us close to him.

He does not remember our sin but he remembers our name. He removed our sins and gave us peace. What a powerful message and even more of a powerful challenge to start implementing in our marriages and relationships. Healing starts with forgiveness.
