LOVE ISLAND - WEEK ONE - DAY FOUR

THEME SCRIPTURE:

Ephesians 5:25-28 NLT - “For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.”

TODAY’S PASSAGE:

Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds. (Hebrews 10:17 - NLT)

REFLECTION:

I am known for not having the greatest memory. I lose things all the time, forget things on my schedule, I even forget the produce I buy and have to throw it away consistently because of its not in front of me. If I don’t see it it’s out of my mind. Even though my forgetfulness is unintentional, sometimes it still has impact on others around me. I see it in friendships, relationships and all others.

I am so glad I have friends and people in my life to not hold those things against me, as well as being grateful for a lord who forgives  as well. Isnt it so comforting that our sins are no longer on his mind after we are forgiven. It says in todays passage that he will NEVER again remember our sins. So my question today is, if its no longer in Gods mind, why does it remain in yours?

Are you struggling to get the mistakes you have personally made out of your mind? Theres nothing better than sitting with the Lord and journaling about that. And remember to be gracious to yourself just as our Lord is gracious to us.
