LOVE ISLAND - WEEK FIVE - DAY ONE
Hello and welcome to your Daily Devos following our Love Island messages at 29:11! Take some time today to read through the scriptures provided, meditate on the lessons learned that are applicable for all of us from this week and journal your prayers. Have an amazing week 29:11 Church!
THEME SCRIPTURE:
Matthew 19:1-6 NLT
When Jesus had finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went down to the region of Judea east of the Jordan River. Large crowds followed him there, and he healed their sick. Some Pharisees came and tried to trap him with this question: “Should a man be allowed to divorce his wife for just any reason?” “Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’” And he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.””
TODAY’S PASSAGE:
Matthew 19:28
“Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
REFLECTION:
Have you ever experienced something in your life that just seemed impossible to face? A mountain that seemed too tall to climb? A dream that seemed unreachable. A diagnosis that seemed permanent. A relationship that went in the wrong direction. No matter what family trauma you’ve walked through or if you’re facing something in your marriage that seems hopeless, this is a promise you can cling to. As humans we all can reach our limit. We all face challenges that feel out of our control and in our own strength seem impossible, but this verse reminds us of THE TRUTH…that all things are possible with our God!
THOUGHTS TO PONDER:
What challenges are you facing today?
What hurt/trauma from your past do you need God to heal?
How can you put into practice the promise of Matthew 19:26 - With God's help, you can overcome anything?
