TODAY’S PASSAGE:

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”

- Malachi 3:10

REFLECTION:

Malachi 3:10 reminds us that money is one area we can test God in, God promises to bless those who are faithful in giving the tithe. This is easier said than done. Sometimes we can’t always see how God will provide for us. When your car breaks down, or you have an unexpected health bill, or your account balance is barely in the black, it’s easy to question if God will really provide. Our circumstances do not change God’s faithfulness. We can trust Him even when it doesn’t seem to make sense. Tithing is not just a command, it is a gift with a promise. God promises that when we tithe, He will provide for us and bless us immensely. As we partner with God in our finances and trust Him to provide, we experience His peace and get to see His faithfulness in a new way.
