Scripture - 2 Samuel 22

Observation - David’s song of praise came after some very difficult and challenging times, not only in the nation he was leading, but in his own family. David clung to God’s faithfulness and grace.

Application - It is so easy to let life’s challenging circumstances capture our focus. David, chose to place his focus on GOD instead of the tragic circumstances. While he did mourn and lament, he also chose to praise God too. What would it look like for you to write a song of praise to God today? Maybe take some time to journal that praise or even write a praise song.

Prayer - God, I am so grateful that YOU are my rock, my fortress, and my savior. Thank you for being faithful through every season of my life. Help me to alway praise you through the good times and the bad. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
