Scripture - 1 Samuel 10

Observation - Samuel tells Saul, ““After these signs take place, do what must be done, for God is with you.” The statement was meant to tell Saul that God has placed him in a role of serving God’s people, his special and chosen possession. God was with him and would bless his efforts. God was working through Saul, directing him, and fulfilling the purpose that he had planted in him.

Application - Lifting our hands to God shows that we completely surrender to him. When we fully surrender to him, God is able to do the works that he has planted inside of us. When God has called us, we can trust that he will walk with us and bless the work we do for him. It won’t come without challenges though.

Prayer - God, today I surrender my whole self completely to you. I give you complete control to take my life and mold me as you see fit. I want my steps to be ordered by you. Give me the faith to step out into the areas you have called me to. In your name I pray, amen.
