PROPHETS - ISAIAH - DAY FOUR

Hello and welcome to our weekly devos following our Prophets series! These devo’s are Monday-Friday and pair with this past week’s message. Be sure to journal your thoughts, vocalize your prayers, and find God in all moments of your life this week.

THEME SCRIPTURE:

“But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. The wild animals in the fields will thank me, the jackals and owls, too, for giving them water in the desert. Yes, I will make rivers in the dry wasteland so my chosen people can be refreshed.”

Isaiah 43:18-20 NLT

TODAY’S PASSAGE:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

REFLECTION:

Have you ever done a trust fall before? You blindly have to fall and rely on someone else to catch you. Trusting can be scary sometimes. Trusting the Lord with all of our heart is definitely easier to say or read in a scripture and harder to actually do sometimes. This verse reminds us that we don’t have to lean on our own understanding and we can trust God’s plan for our lives.

Even during  life’s storms and stresses, we can have self-confidence  if we choose to trust the Lord. That ultimately gives us a  'God-confidence.'  Trusting the Lord with all our heart means to set aside our own desires and plans to follow God’s will for our lives. Reminding yourself that His ways are higher than our ways. He’s got you. Trusting the Lord is believing His Word is true! His Word will lead and guide you and show you which path to take. Trust He is leading you somewhere new because He is doing something new in you!

THOUGHTS TO PONDER:

How can you trust God even if you can’t fully see where He is leading you? What is one scripture you can focus on today to help build your trust in God’s Word and allow it to guide you to that new place?
