LOVE ISLAND - WEEK ONE - DAY TWO
Hello and welcome to your Daily Devos following our Love Island messages at 29:11! Take some time today to read through the scriptures provided, meditate on the lessons learned that are applicable for all of us from this week and journal your prayers. Have an amazing week 29:11 Church!
THEME SCRIPTURE:
Ephesians 5:25-28 NLT - “For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.”
TODAY’S PASSAGE:
1 John 1:7 (ESV) - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
REFLECTION:
Have you ever had to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom but didn’t feel like turning on the light? You assumed that since youve done it a good number of times before with the light on, the light off should be no problem. Getting there is easy but it’s coming back thats hard. Your eyes have adjusted to the light from the bathroom that your room is feeling more like a void. If only I turned the light is my immediate thought. It would definitely be a lot safer of a walk back to your bed.
Sometimes when things hurt us, we go into conversations and other things without our light, or without the covering of Jesus with us. To walk in the light we have to first have the light in us. What are some areas you need to shine light in? Do you feel the covering of the holy spirit in more stressful situations? Those might be some questions we have to ask and answer within ourselves to move forward in our forgiveness journey.
THOUGHTS TO PONDER:
What are some ways you can shine your light in your life this week? Make it a goal!
