8 So I say to those who aren’t married and to widows—it’s better to stay unmarried, just as I am. 9 But if they can’t control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. It’s better to marry than to burn with lust.

TODAY’S PASSAGE:
13 On the Sabbath we went a little way outside the city to a riverbank, where we thought people would be meeting for prayer, and we sat down to speak with some women who had gathered there. 14 One of them was Lydia from Thyatira, a merchant of expensive purple cloth, who worshiped God. As she listened to us, the Lord opened her heart, and she accepted what Paul was saying. 15 She and her household were baptized, and she asked us to be her guests. “If you agree that I am a true believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my home.” And she urged us until we agreed.

REFLECTION:
What little we know about Lydia is that she was most likely single, and she used her resources to take care of and SUPPLY the church! Are you blessing others? It doesn’t matter if you're young or have some years on you; you can make a big difference. The Freedom you Have might be how God wants to use you!
LEAN IN… don’t make this season of SINGLENESS be weird… ask GOD
what you can do for Him in this season. Serve somewhere, attend Alpha or CR, lead a community group, or do something that honors God. You have the freedom! Pastor Karl said it’s not just about you! Flex that Single life, but do it to help others, too!
THOUGHTS TO PONDER:
What can you do this week to bless others? Pray for someone, send an encouraging text, Serve somewhere, mentor someone, buy someone’s coffee. Even in the little things, you can be a blessing! Ask God what you can do for Him in this season. Don’t make it weird.
