REFLECTION:
Pastor Karls's message this week really made me think, am I shepherding myself well? We must know who we are in Christ; God put me in this season as a single person for such a time as this. Pastor Karl said the world and culture will constantly offer you titles and identities... You have to figure out who you are in Christ before you’re with someone else— and if you’re waiting a long time to find someone...why would you want to wait for them to define you? BE who Christ has made you. Your IDENTITY isn't singleness! Your identity it in Christ!
Part of shepherding yourself is trusting God. Do you trust him with everything you have? BE who God has made you to be. If you don’t know his voice, whose voice or voices are you listening to? When searching for and praying for a spouse trust God in the process. God loves when we talk to him! YES even if its asking him for a spouse and asking for guidance! Trust him in everything you do!
THOUGHTS TO PONDER:
Take some time today to pray for your future season! Shut everything down (your phone, TV, the loudness around you) and seek after God! Thank him that he has you where you are for a reason. Let him know that you trust him, that you release control, and that you give him full control to do what he wants to!
